About Michael Alexander
A seasoned financial professional with over 25 years in the financial industry, Michael Alexander has developed a holistic approach to financial guidance. He is mindful that each client has different needs and goals and actively engages clients in deep discussions to develop sound financial strategies that are personal to that client.
Michael began his career in financial services in the banking industry, at The Chase Manhattan Bank and Bankers Trust. Michael is a strong believer in financial education, having graduating with an MBA from Hofstra University in 1983 and a JD from New York Law School in 1991, both while working full time. Michael continues to read voraciously on all financial and legal subjects and his clients appreciate his up to date financial and tax knowledge as well as his quick wit.
Over the years, as many clients sought financial advice on planning for their financial futures, whether for college savings, retirement or estate planning, Michael became insurance licensed in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Texas and Florida and completed the Series 7 and 63 registrations, held with LPL Financial, and his series 65, held with US Financial Advisors. Michael has also been certified as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He enjoys being a trusted resource to his clients and assisting them in making informed decisions which are customized to their unique needs.
Michael resides in Stamford with his wife and their three children. When not working, Michael is often found racing off to a spinning class or a wine tasting. He and his family love traveling, particularly to Israel. Michael has always been involved in his community, having served as an executive officer of Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford for over 12 years and served as the President of Jewish Family Service of Stamford, New Canaan, Darien, Westport, Wilton and Norwalk, a social service organization that provides services to people in need for the past three years.
